Burton, Texas is home to 350+/- friendly, hospitable folks and 1 resident peacock that roams freely through the town.
Established in 1862, officially changed status from a town to a city prior to the 2010 Census and is home to Texas Cotton Gin Museum, Saddlehorn Winery, Brazos Bell Restaurant, La Bahia Turnverein Dance Hall (organized in 1879 and is still actively being used today with dances, antique shows, cook-off events & weddings). Burton is recognized on the National Register as a “Commercial Historic District”.
